An amazing array of gardens open to all
Nestled in the Surrey/Hampshire hills, Grayshott is an award-winning village famous for being ‘the village that has everything’. Situated in an area of outstanding beauty, surrounded by National Trust forest and health land, many of Grayshott’s gardens enjoy stunning views of the undulating countryside and benefit from the acidic, sandy soil.
Over 20 venues to explore
Each year our visitors get to enjoy a range of gardens from the courtyard to the stately, formal to cottage, contemporary to woodland and the intimate to the ambitious. Our Grayshott Gardeners club is very active and many members open their gardens year after year. The village has a thriving allotment community with two sites producing an array of home-grown fruit and veg and a Community Orchard.
More than gardens
There are a host of attractions too! You could meet our swordsmith and see how swords are made. Watch our local firefighters in action, or find the Queen Bee with Brad the beekeeper. Each event has something different to offer by way of attractions/
Prizes to be won
We've run photography competitions for children and adults.
Younger children can hunt for something fun in each garden to keep them entertained during your visit. Over the years we've had frogs, hedgehogs, fairies and more to be found! Each event has its own theme.
Homegrow plants and afternoon teas
let’s not forget the aternoon tea and tasty cakes, plus the opportunity to take away home-grown plants.

Family friendly activities
We are keen to involve all the community and the event always provides an element of surprise! Meet our reserved firefighters at the village fire station, feel the heat at the forge with local swordsmith, Rod Hughes, find the queen honeybee with master beekeeper, Brad Davis. Our village heritage group have 1,000,000 years of local history to share and expert gardeners will be on hand with tips on how to get the best from your plot.
