Grayshott is full of creative talent, and this summer one of our own is stepping into the spotlight. Village resident Rod Hughes — well known to many as the owner and operator of our village forge, and as one of our regular Hidden Gardens hosts — has completed his first feature film, an ambitious retelling of the Anglo‑Saxon epic Beowulf.

Rod’s film will be screened at Farnham Maltings on 25 July, offering a fantastic opportunity to support a local maker bringing a classic story to life. With Beowulf currently taught on the school curriculum, it’s also a brilliant family outing — a chance for young people to see the tale in a fresh, accessible way.

Hidden Gardens of Grayshott is proud to celebrate the achievements of our volunteers and supporters, and we extend a warm thank you to Rod for his continued support of the event. His creativity and community spirit are part of what makes Grayshott such a vibrant place to live.

Tickets are on sale now, so gather the family and enjoy an evening of local filmmaking talent on the big screen.
